All Things Brit is exactly as it sounds. A place where I’ll share all things me, Britt, my life, and well… all things British. A fun little play on words, I know.
Why I’m Here: Your Go-To Place for Life, Travel, and PCS Tips
If you’ve ever been a military spouse, you know the drill—moving. A lot. For those of you who are preparing for the plunge overseas, I’m here to make your life a little easier (maybe? definitely a lot more fun and relatable). I’ll share tips and tricks on everything from packing that’ll save your sanity, to how we survived the dreaded ‘Welcome to England!’ culture shock. I’m also here to talk about life in general. How does it feel to go from a working American mom’s life to becoming a “British” stay-at-home “mum”?
Beyond the laughs, though, this is also a space for things other than the fun and glamour of being in a foreign country—like how to juggle the emotional rollercoaster of a PCS move, how to deal with the “new normal” of living overseas, and how to find your village when you’re far from from the ones you love. A little real and raw reality of leaving home (and the states to be honest).
So, if you’re not a military spouse, don’t you worry. There’s a little something for everyone. I’ll share everything we have learned along the way (and all the things I’m still trying to figure out!) — from mastering the art of the perfect cuppa, the obvious British customs and verbiage, and how to embrace a slower and simpler life.
Whether you like a good story or maybe travel photos you can live through vicariously, I hope that everyone who stumbles upon this blog can find something from it to enjoy or connect with. Join me as we make this place our home and all the details in between!
CHEERS FRIENDS — more things Brit to come!
